    a little question

Firstly, what a great site, very helpfull.

I just set up my dish and f5s skybox tonight, I thought I got it right but after playing around with it I cant get any english channels at all, the astra sat doesnt show up but the eutelsat 28.2 does but what ever channel I choose and scan for channels nothing at all is in english, do I need to re do the dish? have I mossed the satellite i need to get the astra one?

also im trying to download the aj sat list but the file is not able to open on my mac, is this nor mal or can I not use a mac to do this.

sorry for the stoopid questions, but we all have to start somewhere.....

It looks like you have aligned your dish to 19.2e instead of 28.2e if you are receiving foreign channels (they're mainly German & French on 19.2e).

AJ's list will be either RAR or ZIP, so I assume that a mac should recognise it. You will need to download a program to uncompress it for your machine.

OK .. Have you just used the F5 to replace a Sky box...if so your dish is OK.
You may need a proper channel list...out of the box these units are effectively dumb and haven't a clue what they are expected to display....browse for AJ's or Sattv5's list and then select either ALL Satellites or Sky UK 28A.

If you still have issues go into the menu, Installation, Satellite list and make sure to select Sky UK 28A, then try a Single Satellite search blind scan.
