How to get my line back off box??

Hi i have a box with my line on its a s11 and i want to transfer to another box?

On my f3 box you have the facility to dump the file.

On the s11 there is no option???

how can i make a copy of the file is there anyway to take it out of image file say???

    Thanks.

I have noticed that some S11 firmware allows you to dump it & some don't.

It would be interesting to know if anyone knows a way, but I don't think there is.

I take it that you no longer have it on a memory stick, or on your pc, or in an email from your supplier?

you have to do a full dump via rs232
then use mst firmware tool to replace the bootloader block and maincode block with versions ripped from old firmware like sept 2011
then load the full edited firmware back to receiver and you should get the save to usb menus back.
save the needed files to usb for use on other receivers.

I might play with this myself when I have time after Xmas, just for the fun of it!

a while back I put together a package called cccam ripper but I lost it in the archives somewhere.
It had the mst firmware tool v0.5 and the chunks needed to patch s10/s11/s12 firmware to make the gifts visible savable.
Worst case you can use a hex editor and cut the last 64k out of a full dump and paste that into old firmware, pre sept 2011

Ok sounds interesting ill probably have a play over xmas do you have a link for the mst firmware tool?

Got another box there that when it booted it would just say busy then reboot connected it to rs32 cable and dumped firmware then when i tried to reflash it, it would just say reflash failed straight away doesnt try and do nothing even when i use existing dump! Tried loads of different firmware boot loader ticked boot loader not ticked. does the first bit downloading but as soon as i hit next reflash failed straight away, tried changing power supply still the same!

Looks like the tuner has been removed because screw was missing in back of it would a bad tuner cause this? This is a s10 box.

                      Thanks Dave.

                        cccam ripper

do a full dump via rs232 then use mst firmware tool to import the bootloader block and maincode block bins.Write the edited firmware back to the receiver and then you should have the cccam view/save menu.Save the cccam to usb for use on other receivers.

Or you can use the OpenboxS10LAN tool to get it.

has to be an rs232 dump and above technique
lan manager was useless for firmware after sept 2011
