i have a skybox f5 and a offical sky uk box connected to the same tv, when i switch to the sky uk box the f5 freezes and i have to reboot it
    any ideas why??

edit; i don't mean channel freeze/scramble i mean the box just gets stuck for some reason, i had this problem with my s10 as-well

Are you splitting the satellite feed by any chance?

My own thoughts are the lnb but could be something else. You could try putting one in a different port.

not all LNB's are proper quad units.....sometimes its one feed to 4 ports.
I bought a dedicated quad LNB to get around issues like this

Same thing happened on my f5s lost signal on FTA hd mainly as soon as S-y box turned on dont use loop through
Run a new cable from quad lnb on your dish mine works fine now you can do a quick test
press info button on remote twice to give OSD signal strength and quality think you will find
When u switch your S_y box on it grabs your signal hope this helps
