    Interesting. Can you give a bit more detail?

    Did it have a circuit designation (Rxx, Cxx, Uxx etc.)

    What did the component look like?

      yea ive got a picture of it in my phone when i sync my phone late il upload it for everyone to see, Im in the process of finding a replacement chip and trying to fix it
      its sort of a challenge ive set myself so i can say ive fixed it

        The circuit destination is u7 one of them small 8 pin chips
        You wouldn't happen to know what type the chip is to help me find a replacement

              The marking on the chip is AAG3AA.

              Unfortunately, I can find very little about this chip on the net. It might be a PWM switching converter for supplying 1.2v & 1.8v, according to a Russian website.

              I can only find 1 other reference on the net & that's on a Bulgarian website that needs registration to view.

                Its an 8 pin Surface Mount. From here, it `looks` like some kinda eeprom chip which could explain the resetting. If it is an eeprom that is.

                Te Cap above it looks burnt though? Like solder spilled on it....

                  The component above U7 is a 10uH inductor. It may have got hot & burnt when U7 failed.

                    i think il replace that as well if i can find the parts that is il let you know how i get on with the getting hold of the parts.
