    Skybox F5 Irdeto Card problem

    Hi guys,

Can anybody help me to setup an irdeto card on my skybox f5? The box reads the card, and I can see that it received the valid subscription from the provider, but the channels won't clear, they are still "scrambled". I've created a smart card config as I found it on a different forum, but that did not help. I'm running this version New Official Skybox F5/F3 Software Released 23/12/13 of software on it.

Somebody advised me to use OSCam on it, but I could not find a way how to install OSCam on this box.

    Any help would be appreciated!

Not exactly breaking the Rules as the OP is trying to use an Official Iderto card in a Skybox F5, Something i cannot answer but i would assume that one the firmware is loaded the Card reader becomes Multicrypt or maybe not on the Skybox series of receivers, One thing i can tell you you cannot run Oscam on there not in a month of sundays

Why would I be breaking rules when I'm asking a legitimate question on a legal subject?

A bad news with the Oscam hopefully someone else will come up with something which will work. Thanks for the defense!

Guys, apparently softcam is the way to set this up...

However in its settings there are 2 thinks I'm not sure of:

"Key index" and "Key data". Has anybody an idea how to obtain this legally for my card?

Sorry for a late reply to this...

The HW card reader reads the card and the card is receiving subscriptions, but it would not decode any channels

Now there is a settings in the Smartcard reader menu, I can select IRDETO as well, but it is asking me for camkey and camdata, which from what I learnt I need to get from the card itself.

Any ideas how to tackle this? Maybe this is not the right way I should be looking at it...
