P&D...the no signal fix is for when you are using 2 satellite boxes on 1 LNB. I think dojopros wants to use 1 skybox with 2 TV's.

The bold part got me thinking why is there a fix if this can't be done?

I was going to try this http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
To clarify what I posted in that other thread. You can connect 2 boxes to 1 LNB provided they are connected to different ports on the LNB. The most common Sky installed LNB is a quad, which has 4 ports.

As digicon says, what you cannot do is use a splitter to connect 2 boxes to the same port on the LNB if you want to use both boxes at the same time, as there will be a conflict between H/V/Hi/Lo switching. If only one box will be on at any time, then a splitter could be used.

      Not quite correct.

Two year ago we built a house on land next to our house (Son live there). New electricity connection from the outside footpath.

Last month he decided to shift around the furniture and used homeplugs the same as I do. When my internet went down I was amazed that the Skybox kept working but nothing for the wifi laptop and pad.

On checking the ip address on the box it confirmed my thoughts that it had connected through the mains cabling to my sons b/band.

So if you do use Homeplugs make sure they are paired .

Im thinking of only putting the box upstairs to watch when the missus is watching freeview (soaps) downstairs

Looks as if the Plugs & splitter will work for me
