Problems

Having a lot of problems with the F5 skybox freezing scrambling so i have decided to set the box back
to factory settings.
I know how dump channel list and gift to usb and install them again but i cannot seem to find (i have looked)
a tutorial on how flash the latest firmware and where to find the firmware on the forum

Maybe your provider that is causing glitching but try here for Firmware SkyBox | SkyBox
Same procedure as Channel list to upload.
Suggest you take a backup of existing first.

Tried official Firmware update and getting Mismatch message so looks like ive got myself a clone damn.
Anyway to update the firmware on a clone??

Yes all channels are working its just that the Pay ones ie Sports - Films are glitching then stopping for a few seconds emailed the gift provider
and all i get is all is ok his end so i thought it might be the box???

Another thing to look at is your internet connection, if it is wifi try via the ethernet port or homeplugs another thing to rule out.

hmm, i actually found a few channels yesterday (ppv) and found the same thing, just wouldnt play

Im new to all this & ive been advised to reboot the box (mains etc) at least once a day

Ok full setup

1. F5 Skybox.
2. 30Mb Broadband
3. Connection to box ethernet via Home plugs
4. All FTA ok just the other ones having problems with

Found out yesterday that the box is a clone so weather that makes a difference i dont know but sure someone will tell.

Guys it's a big no no talking like this in open forum, to have a solid connection hard wired is by far the best, 30meg should be good enough, you can get faulty home plugs as I've had one just one out of pair my self! Also when something is cheap it normally is for a reason if you read the forums you see this is happening every day on more than one occasion box been clone doesn't make other thing sh&t but like I said been spoken about loads, and also not meant to talk about so I suggest either get its sorted out or stick with what you have do a lot of reading up before you jump into buying things like this as people you think or brill this will be free and then not do any research! As the saying goes dont try to run before you can walk!
