Skybox f5s doesn't seem to turn on. No signal to tv

    Hi everyone

I'm new to this. I got myself a skybox f5s but it doesn't seem to turn on. It has four dash lines on the box and the green light is on but my lg tv says no signal. any ideas ?image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

First thing I would do is try using the scart or composite output to connect to your TV.

The box may be outputting a video format that the HDMI cannot recognise.

I thought that the V-Format button on the remote control was for scenarios like this, Keep pressing it until the TV recognizes a Video Input signal i found the first one would be 576i

have you tried it on a different tv ??
Another stupid question.....have you loaded a channel list on the box ????

mate have you had one of these boxes from new. If you buy one direct it won't have channel list you plug it in and it goes to menu screen, I thought with all you recommendation to everyone who asks about the box, that they should up there budget and get a better one that you have already had one and had a problem with it. By the looks of it you haven't had one as your would have know that! But who am I to judge!! Anyway a very good beginners box is the F5s IMHO

The box is from eBay and it worked yesterday along with the channel list. I have tried holding down the v format button but no joy. I wasn't sure if my remote was working so I have got
one today from eBay and the light is flashing on the remote but not sure if I have to program the remote or something. Om
              at a loss tbh
also I've tried the scart and that's not working either

Pull the power out of back of box and then see if it loads up as it should do. I just think you have not got ur cables in properly or you have pressed radio on remote something as silly as that. But no signal on ur tv is that you have not got the correct input/source for box connected

Pulled the plug out and came straight back with the dashes instead of numbers and the no signal screen. I have pressed pretty much every button on the remote to see if it will change

The f3 and f5 are the same really. He's got a f5s, some people don't want to fork out 200 quid on a box which takes a lot of work and many hours messing about with. If you follow simple instruction with these boxes you can't go wrong, maybe that's where you had your problems pal.
