skbox f5 just stopped working?

Hi everyone,

I'm very to the world of fee sky and I don't no to much about it a part updating channels . My all my sky channels stopped working last night, i've updated the channels but only the the free channels work like bbc, itv, channel 5 no sky channels work. I texted the guy the who installed my box but he has not replied. any idea whats going on guys? im totally clueless. its been working fine for 3months.

You've probably been ripped off, not answering phone etc. get a new service provider, use google to find

Just as I made this thread he replied saying his box is working fine so mine should to. It's a mates boss who sorted me out so I wouldn't like to think he's ripped me off but you never no. Anyone no why free view channels work but no sky?. Cheers

In network settings make sure dhcp is on, apply it and reboot box

A read of the rules may help before your next post......

Turn the box off at the wall....
unplug the router power for 30 sec's...plug back in

make a cupper...ie..wait 2 mins

Turn the box back on at the wall.
goto a FTA channel BBC1
then try a $ channel see if it clears

If not

goto menu/networks setting/ethernet/makesure DHCP is switched on
if not switch on then apply....then exit
roboot the box

See if that sorts the problem if not

Don't that mate it's switched on. Still nothing only free channels work just says scrambled :/

that worked mate very strange that. I did thus yesterday tho . I left it off ten mins tho this time fingers crossed it's all ok now. Thanks for your help guys

Might be the case that you need to assign a static address for your box, sometimes the skyboxes retain the ip address when switched off and mean while the router has given that ip to another device causing a conflict.

check and see if u still got mgcamds in box pal looks like u been ripped of

Sames just happened here was working at 3 this morning not now I'll try a reboot etc but already reloaded channels etc
