F5s Flashing Help Required in Northamptonshire Area - cannot flash using RS232 method

      Tried it but no success, perhaps because I need to do it on a dedicated RS232 port as opposed to USB adapter. a lot of people are claiming successful flashing is only possible through dedicated RS232 conncetion and not USB - I had faint hope through USB as some others have had success


      So... If there's anyone in the Northamptonshire area that can help, would be immensely appreciated, thank you

        I had exactly the same problem but using a std rs232/rs232 null modem cable. Just a faint 8 and then back to load on the display every time.

        Eventually I decided to try a different PC which worked fine using the same software and cable, etc. so don't give up hope. Once I changed PC's it worked first time easily. I think the issue was actually down to a firewall issue on my first computer.

          when using the flashing program start it from the icon within the folder and not a desktop shortcut
