Hi apologies if this is the wrong place or tha

here goes,

What is the best box to use to be able to view sky channels/foreign channels ?

my head is being filled with get this box and do this or get this virgin basic package then get this for ?200 ????

others are saying get the skybox then i have to pay for for the channels ???

any help will be greatly appreciated

Suggest you do a lot of reading / research this forum has lots of useful advise in the Stickies or even in the General Satellite area also Google could be your best friend.

You need to establish if you want the box as a Hobby or Plug n Play, Motorised Dish or Static, Savvy with Linux Operating System or totally PC illiterate these answers will build an idea of what unit is best for your needs.

I suggest you read the Forum Rules in regard to Subscription Sky Channels etc as these types of questions are not allowed but all others in regard to FTA (Free to Air Channels) and boxes are allowed and there are a lot of very knowledgeable people on the forum who are more than willing to help with sensible questions.

it will start off as a hobby i guess so just a static dish will do not 100% on Linux but i have had a mess around with my Raspberry PI

ok thanks for the heads up didnt know what channels where available as my heads spinning with all the different variations
