no signal on half channels when using wifi??

hope somebody knws what can be problem,i hav skybox f3s and am picking most channels but most movies channels are showing as no signal,what can be problem,im using thru wifi dongle

More than likely answered your own question....last 2 words is your problem

use a cable or homeplugs

Hi sorry misread your question

No signal ...means normally the dish or cable or tuner
but could be channel list out of date (when was it last updated)

Has it always been like this ???
or has it gone like this since you have done something

its a new box got off guy other day,was working fine at my house,when gave to mate half channels well most of movies shows as no signal when using thru wifi

It may be many contributors, obviously when you use wifi you are operating at half duplex. Can your friend get onto his home wifi box and run a ping test from his router to his skybox? the avg trip shoudl be no less than 50ms. First thing to try tho is directly connecting the box to the router for a full duplex connection.

how do u do a ping test as u say?the router is in other rrom,also sports walks just sum of movies show as no signal

If its showing "No Signal" its nowt to do with you network.

Anything to do with network would show as scrambled.

Try your youtube and see it the coloured disc spins when it loading

Put into simple terms

"Scrambled" = Network problem or anything that travels through the network to the box.

That's all you'll get on that subject.

No Signal = No signal getting through to box, be it dish, lnb, cabling, tuner or anything associated with the travel of the signal from the bird in the sky to the box.

well what u reckon cud be the problem,i have checked the box at my own house and all channels are working fine with and withous wifi usb,my router is right by my box,in friends house it is in another room? its picks sports channels but some movies shows as no signal?

come out off ur fab and do a new channel search and see if it well work out there if so you need to update
