styt code on box

I tried to update channel list using X LAN TOOL and about 18% passed and then the box reset itself and just kept on doing it repeatedly. I unplugged everything, then powered the box up again with only power lead inserted and then this styt code appeared.

Any idea what it could be and am I going to have to flash the box with a RS232 Null modem Cable?

I have always assumed that it's "Strt" (short for Start). It's part of the start up sequence, but should only stay on the display for a second or 2.

If the box gets stuck on that & you see nothing on your TV, then it looks like the only way out is flashing by serial port.
