Skybox F3-S : Box not recognising Remote

I have a spare skybox F3-s which never has been able to recognize any of the Openbox / Skybox remotes. It's not worth me returning the box as the postage fee would be excessive from my area.

So does anyone know how to fix this issue - I assume the receiver at the front of the box is faulty?

If you are not getting a response from your remote control, then you just need to pull the spring out in the battery compartment and use cheap batteries instead of duracell batteries. Its a common problem with the rounded type R/C on F3/F3s.

As I read the op's post its a spare box that wont recognise any of the remotes (more than one) that to me would suggest its the sensor within the box just behind the front panel. Possibly just need moving slightly. I've had them with bits of plastic stuck of the front glass.

The F3S looks just the same as the F3 (metal box) that can be opened and the front led panel comes out pretty easy.

If it is the sensor thats gone and the led panel is the same as the F3 they're about ?7.00 delivered from Hong Kong Tiawan go Wong.

Do the front panel buttons still work?

It might be worth looking inside the box to make sure the front panel ribbon cable is connected properly.

Correct the box wont recognize any of the working remotes that I have. I'll open the box later to see if the sensor is pointing in bad direction and see how it goes..

It turned out to be the ribbon cable - it wasn't correctly connected - thanks!!
