    Best USB flash drive please

    Hi guys

    Please can anyone give me some recommendations for a decent 32gb flash drive nano if possible that will work well with the F5S??? i have not got the room for a external HDD unfortunately.

    i'm in the same boat,pal.just look for something with a high read/write score.have a look on scan international web site.thats where i buy all my goodies from.

      Cheers i have just popped a play.com branded one in and it was PANTS!!! pause but speech carried on... The best a friend of mine purchased was the

        there is always room for an external drive.
        sticks are too puny for hd recording

          I could be wrong ,but my f5s only supports 2.0 usb so not sure if a 3.0 will work.i'm looking at this at the moment. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3304702227...84.m1438.l2649

            V3.0 USB is backwards Compatible with 2.0 you just wont get the added benefits unless your port was 3.0 compatible thats all

              Mate don't think the standard usb on these is powerful enough for these types of drives... If you go for these it has to be desktop mains powered.

                  Right thats cool as i have read it to be that the USB powered portable drive wouldn't get the power that they needed to operate correctly. Also will your box now pause with the speech also??

                        usb 3.0 works much better in my old openbox,makes no sense but that is the only drive that I don't get the "drive too slow" error.

                          I would say that it's the speed of flash memory they use in the stick that's the issue. The fact that it's also USB 3 is a coincidence. The flash memory in the older USB 2 sticks wouldn't run at the full 480mbps speed that is available from the USB socket.
