    Skybox F5 Infra Red Problem

    Hi

I have had a Skybox F3 for a few months now. When i powered it up the other day it comes on but now unable to change channel?? I have brough a new remote but no good, both remotes work on other boxs. I have open the box to make sure the IR Sensor was in the correct place and it is. I have flash new and old firmware via Serial port as the F5 has no buttons so you cant upgrade via usb.

SO I am a little stuck, does anyone know were i could get a replacement IR from?
Or any other ideas would be really helpful

Which box have you got? F3 or F5 you mention both.

Check the ribbon plug is pushed home on the main board before you order one. Takes between two and three weeks to arrive.

      HI

Sorry for the mistype.... this post was regarding the F5.

Thanks to MJON who posted me, I finally found out it was the on board IR sensor. I ordered a new one from an auction site, replaced the component and its working without any problems.
