    f3s wifi problem

Was setting up f3s for friend, needed it set up wireless.Set it up at home first, no prob ,connected.Took it to my friend house and tried many times to connect with no luck.Usi.ng correct wifi code,it just wont connect.Tried combinations of ,off and on ,in settings ,but with no luck.Have heard that the boxes retain the last ip address used. Anyone had this problem and how did you solve it?

There were two I had a problem with,Aptus and Eircom,I dont think that they are the problem.I need to reset, prob to factory and try again.

Right had this problem myself the other day took me longer than fitting dish and cable but got it going in the end!!

From what i could see the ip setting was not changing in network settings etc with either dhcp on or off what i did in the end was backup setting with usb stick reset to factory settings then reboot the box this cleared all the settings in box and then i was able to connect wireless this was with bt broadband!

Other box's ive had change normally but a few later just wont change they seem ok on virgin but maybe its a bt router thing try it!!!!

        Good luck.

What type of Security encryption is on your friends Wifi? i needed to change from WEP to WPA for my M5 box to connect to home wireless, just kept timing out when trying to use WEP encryption
