    CHANNEL LIST NOT AUTOMATICALLY UPDATING

    when I go onto my XLMTV EPG it always says needs updating, even though I have auto update turned on.

    surely auto update is so you don't need to do it manually all the time

    any ideas????

      The box will only update the EPG when you switch it off into standby mode. When it is doing this the letters EPG will flash on the front time display to show that it's updating. Admittedly, it is a bit hit and miss whether it updates automatically.

          Mine never autoupdates either. It's set to autoupdate and box always placed in standby when not in use but still every 5 days I manually have to goto the xml epg and press the red button to update

              If you go into the EPG menu where the Auto update switch is set to on and put your box into standby mode directly in this menu (hit the standby button on the remote) then you will see the EPG- message on the front display of the box for approx 3-4 minutes while it downloads and installs the latest version, after this point when you switch the box back on the lists will be the most up todate.

              Anyone come across certain channels that just never have any EPG information on? NickJR and ESPNHD never show any info for me, but oddly enough NickJR+1 is fine

                      Yes i know about this tick as well, again this will place the unit into standby and you will see EPG on the VDF and it updates.

                      But come 4 days time instead of autoupdating like i imagen the feature should it dont and have to manually as always do it.

                      Easy for me to do when i remember but the missus starts moaning where the EPG has gone every couple days
