Skybox F5S No Signal On Some Channels

This has been happening since I got my box last week,I have the new channel lists and a good line, some channels just say no signal with 5% and then the others that work have 75%, how can I fix this or is there a way to find out what exactly is causing it?

An example would be, all sky movies sd work, but the hd ones do not...

Do you have a standard slyHD box or other device sharing the LNB with your F5S?

What you need is one of these, they work, i had the same issue - NO SIGNAL FIX

Well my dad has a proper sky box in the other room but he only has FTA Channels

That will be the cause, the LNB on the dish would be the issue as i had, try the fix and see how you get on, my money is on it solving the issue, SlySports 3 not working either by any chance? If you are not sure pull the power on your dads box (not just standby but unplug it completely) and you will find the signal strength on those channels that were only 5% are now the same as all the other channels

They do the same job, its a personal choice either the box or inline type, if you kill the power to his box you dont need to disconnect the cables at the back of the box, the alternative test is go into the menu on the F5S and turn the LNB power off, the channels previously on 5% will work but all the other wont you will find

I just unplugged my dads box but they still have 5 percent...

try the lnb power in the F5S menu, switch it off, see if they work then, did you restart your box after unplugging his?

Baffled then, you have all the symptoms of needing the no signal fix, is it a shared dish\lnb with another property? no other connections to it?

Nope just my house is all, just remember my mam has multi room but I don't think that would be it, should I buy the fix anyway?

For a fiver its got to be worth a shout, multiroom will also be using a direct connection to the dish\lnb, could try killing the power to everything apart from the F5

Put your fiver towards a decent LNB and you get rid of the problem all together.

my mate had the exact same problem but only he could not run a f3 & f5s off one single dish with quad lnb had to use 2 dishes knocks one of them off with no signal' i fink its down to the f5's weak 12v not having enough power to run of the same dish probs would not run a motor too i bet.
