    installation problem

Hi all I have a quick question need some help I have just installed a satellite dish on the side of my house and run the coax down to my new box. When I connect im am getting no signal at all cant even pick up basic channels like bbc just says no signal. have bought a satellite signal detector and plugged into my box and moved the dish till it has full signal but I am still not getting a signal , the box is fine as I have tried it on my neighbours and works fine. any ideas or things I can do to sort it
    cheers

If it works on a neighbours dish you will have to keep playing till it alligned to the sat.

Stick it on BBC1. press the info button 3 times and keep trying till the bars go coloured..

You could get a good idea of the line to point it here:

    Code:

Yep. I suspect that your dish may be pointing at 19.2e instead of 28.2e. It's very easy to do.

It may need a bit of a nudge eastwards.

You could select 19.2e (Astra 1H/K/L) from the satelite list & doing a blind scan to verify if you are pointing at this satellite.

+1 with what Hadron said.... for me I have a flex feed LNB for 19.2 & 28 birds.... and 19.2 is my default for LNB 1 and the dish and 28 is LNB 2 offset by 9 degrees

Try a scan on 19.2 ... if that is what you have nudge the dish...
