skybox channle list advice please

Dear All

As im new please forgive my ignorance, still finding my way arround.

I have been given a skybox f5s which is working fine, but im not getting all the channels and youtubetube is not working either, so i would like to update my channe list, which i have found how to do.

How can i check if this channel list ajs will be compatible with my box, just cheking before i mess it all up?

I would be very greatful for your advice.

Aj's list will be ok

backup the box before you start messing with it
so if anything goes tit's up
you have a backup

I was the same about my channel list but if you follow instructions to back up first as p&d said you will be good

Thats great thanks. Im just waiting for my usb to arrive then i will go for it.
Also just wanted to ask will i lose the favourites that are already set up, can i update the list and keep these as they are?

Yes mo. Favs will always be in that order

My epg is very slow and generally only shows the current and next of the channel im on but the does show when i move below to the next channel, is this just the way this is or is there an alternative you could suggest?
Also my apps youtube isnt working, is there anyting i could try?

I keep getting a hardware mismatch, i thought it was a F5S but its a F5 and unfortunately i think i my box is a clone and thefore unable to have this update as i have read.

Apart from the above info requested the box is woking fine, just would have been nice to have the 7 day epg and youtube app working too.

Is there a way for me to check if the line i have on this box will work on another genuine skybox, then i might buy an origional skybox and set up myself without having to buy another line also, i dont really want to buy a plug and play that may be a fake as this is what i have already.

7 Day EPG enabled Firmware is not available for the F5 this is why you are getting a "mismatch error"

Your box is probably not a Clone if it's not broke don't fix it is the best advice I can offer.

Is that the case for the youtubeprn apps also, as they are also not working?
