    SkyBox F5s with Communal Dish?

So I recently bought the F5s and I have been having a right old time setting it up. I get a no signal error on most channels using AJs channel list but if I do a manual blind scan I find most but not HD movies, obviously not the best solution as it means I have to manually sort out the channels

I took the box to my sisters and connected it up and straight away I can view all channels on AJs list?

The only difference is that I am on a communal dish where as my sister has her own. Oh and the router is different?

    Help Please

I actually just received one of those today but I dont have the correct connectors to set it up. Im assuming it just goes in between the dish and box?

If you're referring to a no signal fix, I think it's different from an inline amp signal.

A no signal fix regulates voltage as it's been known that some boxes send out a slightly different voltage than what is considered standard.
An inline amplifier is meant to boost signal although I've read that it may also increase the "noise" as well.

I believe they get plugged in between sat feed and sat socket on box.

No I did also receive the "No signal fix" fix but that made no difference. Will try the Inline booster tomorrow hopefully.

I have read it's best to have this as nearer the input end (LNB/Dish) of the sat cable rather than output (box) end. So if you have sat cable plugged into a sat wall socket then maybe try amplifier there before you put your sat cable in.

If not possible (ie cable comes straight out of wall and goes to back of skybox) then just have it there instead.

No as not sure it was the issue because you mentioned your original $ky box was ok (no harm in trying though).
