SKYBOX F5S KEEPS RESTARTING?

hy guys,
first off this is my first post so be gentle! im very new to this, my problem is i have askybox f5s for about 5 months now and it has been working fine,all of a sudden it keeps restarting, when i take the dish wires out it boots up but because the wires are out i get no signal, but everytime i put the wires back in it switches itself off and the numbers on the front of the box go up to 100 then it goes back to zero and continuasly does this, does this sound familiar to anyone else?

the cable from the dish
sounds like the outer & inner wires are touching each other
shorting the box out fix the cable & check the F connecter

thanks for the reply, but im not sure what you mean when you say fix the cable! fix how, it just plugs into the back of the box, ive cut it and stripped it again still the same!

how far should it go into t box?
