Are you sure it's the box?

Might be worth trying the box at another persons house to see if they have the same problem or send it to one of the people here I am sure a few would be happy to try it if you ask nicely.

For that price i would suggest looking at the cloud ibox 2 or mini vu.

you did not research deep enough, must be over thousands of problem posts on these cheap box builds,if you want a good working box save up more money, look at the vu range of sat boxes or octagon sf8.

Well mate you could say the same that there are thousands of people out there who have NOT had issues with these boxes and there is...There are loads of cheap Chinese freeview boxes around now that are basic like this type of thing that work fine and even built in TV's..
I understand that VU are the best and have no problem affording this box thing is i am new to this and don't really want to throw money away on something that might just go away over night, i am also limited on space need a very compact box no bigger then the F5S...I dont think you can say EVERY skybox is rubbish, lets face it 99% of these type of electronic goods are made in china

i buy boxes made in korea, sat will not go overnight if you can have a wider field of viewing and the other things it can do can be a bonus.i agree plenty of skybox users have no problems but the skybox section posts have quadruppled over the last 6 months .

I wouldn't say this is down to poor boxes more like people buying cheap boxes and not having a clue what they are doing with them.

VU boxes are nice but the price for original is not (very over priced)

VU's are great but also need a good few hours reading to get the best from them.

well i would not like to have a skybox in a house and having it possibly going on fire, remember cheap and no safety involved.yes user error as they think one image and channels lists do all.

Better Build Quality for a start and you can download channel lists straight from the online server no need to wait for updates or using a USB stick
