All of the newer boxes have this "feature" when put into standby. They are OK when left on.

The older openboxes S9,S10,S11 didn't have this problem.

Thanks for the reply Hadron, this box loses time shown on the digital display but when I go into menu to set it right the time in there is right and when I exit menu the digital clock is then showing the right time. I just can`t make any sense of it.

The box gets its time data from the satellite signal, so while the box is on (& connected to your dish), the time will be spot on.

When the box is in standby, it appears to rely on an internal timing signal generated by the box, which is obviously running slow, as all boxes are affected by this. As you can only see the time display on the front panel when the box is in standby, then that's why it shows as a few minutes slow if it has been left off for a few hours.

As soon as the box is turned on again, the clock gets it's data from the satellite signal again & corrects itself...until it's put into standby again.
