Can you connect hard drive to laptop/pc and check for errors.

Also what is hard drive formatted as? NTFS or FAT32?

Are you trying to set up a timer recording when you get this message?

If you put in a date or time that has already passed (such as yesterday's date) then you will get this message. Also if you put in a duration of 00:00.

Is your Local Time Setting showing the right time/date?

                Have you checked for errors?

Can you do a manual recording (ie start recording a channel you're currently watching) rather than via timer/epg
