Hi Guys it looks like mY SKYBOX F3 has bricked. I am trying to upghrade using a null modem cable but get the following error message when I try to flash it. It says set stb memory error anyone any ideas?

I would say your either using the wrong software, wrong program or the main boards gone. .

im using the programme from the thread on the forum about recovering dead boxes. Im not sure though what firmware I should be using, again I downloaded it from here.

turning the receiver on too fast,using a usb converter instead of a real com port, or wrong version of loader for the receiver.each model has it's own version of loader generally.
