Run a new cable or use a splitter

    Hi all

Going to get the f5s box for bedroom, already have 2 downstairs living room and conservatory. What i need to know is can I use a splitter to get a new cable to my bedroom and will it effect any of the downstairs boxes.

Your help at this time is appreciated.

Ok thanks is there a reason for this??

Looking at my lnb i have 4 cables coming off it. 2 downstairs and 2 upstairs going to the kids bedroom. Could I just extend the cable from the kids bedroom into mine? Also what could i use to extend it, or shall i run a new cable from skydish??

you have a quad lnb which is now full in use, upgrade to an octo/8 feeds.
sat boxes send voltage to lnb and you dont want to add in second to same line causing boxes to go down and damaging lnb.

if you have only one cable in use in other room you can extend it using an f plug coupler.jpg

plus new cable and f plug x2 screw on type not crimped.

I am only using 1 cable upstairs at present for the old slybox in kids bedroom. obviously both plugged in at present but when i get the f5s, i will then extend it, think thats the best option.

Where can you get 10 metres of sat cable any ideas and whats best

Thanks for your reply in other post cactikid..
