Sounds like you have a PSU problem open it up and look at the Capacitors on the PSU if they are bulged at the top they will need replacing or replace the PSU about a tenner on Flea Bay.hi all ihave a problem with my s11 openbox and its doing my nut in wondering if anyone can help the problem is when i go to change channel with my remote the bloody box keeps rebooting thought it was firmware at first so i changed it no joy then i thought it might be channel list so i changed it done all the switching off and on ect no joy i,m thinking i might have a nanobot inside (he he ) can anyone help me please thanks -
Before you buy one just try disconnecting the Coax Cable and Power Box up and change channels obviously you wont have any just to see if box stays stable. PSU produces 18-20V for LNB Power so it can switch between H&V polarity this is when your box is resetting itself.
If it stays stable it's your PSU.Comment

Horizontal & Vertical Polarity on LNB different Transponders have different polarisation and frequency hence the 18-20Volt to switch the LNB between Horizontal and Vertical Polarity.well i,m bloody buggerd now i used to have a docterate in this but now back to earth i looked at the capicors ther ok how do i know if it is stable and what is h&v a radio station sorry but i,m pig thick at this but do appreicate your help thanks i will try what you said andlet you know
If you disconnect the Coax cable to the LNB there will be no load on PSU to switch the LNB therefore if box doesn't reboot when you change channels it points to a PSU fault.
Hope this helps.Last edited by Nobby Nutz; 27 March, 2014, 20:05.Comment
