Skybox F5S Freezing After Firmware Upgrade

I wanted to try out the new XML EPG feature in the latest Skybox F5S firmware update, but ever since I upgraded the firmware it keeps freezing as soon as it's turned on with the coax cable in. If I take out the coax cable I can get in all the menus and change the firmware without a problem. But as soon as I try and watch TV it'll freeze on all channels and doesn't let you get to the menu or anything. Yes this is even on FTA and on multiple satellite dishes.

Does anyone know what the problem could be or how to fix it? I've tried flashing an earlier firmware from skybox.cc but it's still the same as if upgrading has totally broke the box

    TIA!

I fixed this box thanks to all the advice in this thread: http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...idence-400956/

Basically just had to upload some blank config files (cccam and constant) since they seem to get corrupted or something if you use the LAN tool. I then upgraded again via USB and it worked. Just means I'll never use that LAN tool again and will make sure I always update things via USB since it's safer.

I tried this method but it didn't work for me.....the cccam and constant files I took from the box.
Used notepad to delete the contents of them.
Used LAN tool to upload them back to the box.
Reboot the box and load the 22-1-14 firmware.
      Did a factory reset.
      Loaded Sattv5's channel list
And it still freezes after 20 seconds

      Have I missed something???

When doing the firmware do you delete the DBS settings

Don't use the LAN Tool to update use the USB option.

Seems to be quite common after using the Lan tool, I had this happen on an old F5. I let it load as normal and once the channel showed I immediately went into the settings (if you're not quick the Skybox freezes again) and uploaded all the files through the dump by USB. Also check your aerial connection in the back if the copper wire is above the rim of the screw in aerial part it can cause shorts.
