Hi guys...not too sure if its a stupid question but can I use any sort of dish with a skybox f3. Will it work or do I need a proper skydish. I have am alignment tool here

Assuming you mean Satellite Dish and not any other type of Dish then yes any Satellite dish will do the job

And then choose 28.2? east from the satellite menu this will give you a rough idea which way to point the dish
