Hi Guys, I have just moved my F5s from Dining room into living room, on initial boot Sky feed plugged in and powered up dim 8 then booted to L100, stup ( or something ), then went into a loop. Removed Sat feed and box booted no issues. Plugged in other feed ( original sky+ ), rebooted and no issues. Seems strange as the feeds were working a few weeks ago when original Sky box was fitted. Possible fault from LNB or cable, would suggest checking cables first.

I have used the firmware which was on all 5 returning boxes to reflash still unflashable, using old firmwares wont solve the issue when I know the firmware I originaly put on wont flash

What happens when the flash fails does the box go past the synchronising stb stage. Do you get any memory error messages.

Thank you garrygeezer. I had a similar problem with my F3, and following your procedure, re-flashed the firmware with the latest version and it worked fine again. once again, thank you for the tips.

hi, i have the same problem. my skybox F5S has a dim red light and a dim 8.

                      1. I downloaded the RS232 Upgrade Tools from http://www.skybox.cc/downinfo.asp?id=112 and the actual firmware from http://www.skybox.cc/down.asp?id=16 . I try to reflash with RS232 modem cable and serial cable to USB. But it doesn't work (error message: "Set stb memory error").

                      2. I test F3 EROM UPGRADE KOSAT. There is the same problem.

                      Do you have any idea?
