Skybox A3 No signal! Please help

Ok so i have recently purchased one of the skybox A3's and getting no signal at all.
At first i thought it was the satellite cable so i went and bought a new one to try that and still nothing. The cable i have is a twin satellite cable so do i just need to have one bit plugged in the dish? Im not quite sure what to do now as i have tried almost everything. New to this so be nice haha.

your dish needs aligned maybe try a normal sky box to see if that gets signal

Have you previously ever used any other satellite boxes with you dish?

I havnt no because we have virgin at the moment but the last people in the house had sky and it was working fine with them. How can i go about aligning the dish?
