    Liberview f5 box problems with options

    Hi all I have just upgraded my box to an f5 when it came it was a liberview , I have just looked up to see if there's any advice they say its just a name change for customs , but I go into the menu and all the settings are different and I can't upgrade via Ethernet as it doesn't seem to connect and there's no options in upgrade by USB to install , can anyone give me some advice thank you very much

      im not sure just opened the box up and booted it up and no options in the upgarde by usb has only tpg so can install the channel list but cant alter anything or install , tryed to link it by my pc and no good

        yes the boxes have change name,but still be the same ,go in menu and press 6666 the rest of menu should now be seen

          There isn't the usual network setting menu with the hidden camds menu I have looked only got about for different drop down boxes and on the upload only has tpg and another option to upload , also can connect via the pc through advance IP

            In the factory supplied firmware the option is removed (probably for legal reasons) therefore the first thing to do is upgrade the firmware, this will give you back all your options.

              Are you saying that you don't have the option to upgrade the firmware by USB?

              Menu > Tools > upgrade by USB > Upgrade mode = Image file (*.abs). Next to Upgrade File you should see the firmware that you have downloaded to your USB memory stick.

                install latest firmware using null cable. all options should show up then

                  Yeah in upgrade mode there is no option for image file

                    trying to upgrade via null cable just getting reset box do that then coming up
                    set std memory go back try again , trying different firmware and still same any ideas

                      you could try factory rest and them put the latest firmware on it.

                        I know that Libertview firmware doesn't always have the "Network Local Settings" option, but to remove the option to upgrade the image by USB is crazy. What's the reason? This is the first I have heard of this.

                        If you go to menu > tools > information, what is your software version?
