New Official Skybox F5S/F3S Software Released 11/04/14 - EPG Fixed

Skybox have released a new software to fix the problem of the Epg being 1 hour incorrect due to the introduction of British Summertime. Release notes state :

• FIX BUG: XMLTV EPG summer time error,goto
  System Setup -->EPG Default Setting ,and Set Summer Time "ON" to correct the time

This is the official software release and is for the F3/5S only and can also be downloaded from the official site.

Great stuff at last.The only thing missing now is the epg for itv 1.

will this firmware sort out the scrambled issue stated in the release on last weeks firmware skybox released,so I don't need to download both that's the question I am asking,and movies prem for the current day portvalefanjosh

Are you using AJ Sat's channel list? As I had the same problem with ITV HD not showing listings in EPG.

I tried Sattv5's channel list and now everything is fine.

put file on usb then goto menu,tools,upgrade by usb... leave upgrade mode on image abs file..... keep dbs and settings YES ....START
will reboot....job done

Is the actual epg in this file or just a fix for existing users , yet to see the 7 day epg and thinking of giving it a try

This is just a fix to allow the Epg to display the correct programme times due to the start of BST. To utilise the 7 day Epg function you will need a suitable sized pre formatted FAT32 usb stick or hard drive continously connected to your box as the actual Epg file will be downloaded and stored on there. Adjust the setting in the " Epg and Time Setting " menu of your box so that the " Epg Default Setting " is set to " Internet " and while in the same menu enter the " XMLTV setting " and press the red button to download the Epg manually, if desired. You can also adjust the setting so that future updates are " Automatic ".

This is a known glitch. You'll find that if you wait a day after a fresh epg update the movie channels info will be correctly shown. For some unknown reason they don't display any info on the first day.

Yes, it is currently working with this update. For how long though, who knows? It never seems to last long.

I wish they would fix the autoupdate it never works. Tried different usb sticks everything

Unfotunately, as with the prior software to this one there are still a couple of bugs present. Apart from the already present bugs which are:

Time Display loses approx. 4 to 6 minutes per 24 hours. Present since the launch of the " S " series.

Time, Clock Display, EPG and Info Banner is 2 minutes fast after synchronisation. Present since the launch of 22-01-14 firmware.

The new latest bug is as follows:

When the GUI menu setting is set as " Whole " in the M/P ( Micro Panel ) the following behaviour can be noticed. While tuned to certain channels, if you press the "OK" button on your remote and highlight and proceed to navigate slowly through the " Favorite " options e.g. Entertainment, Lifestyle, Movies, Sports and so on the channel will freeze until you exit the menu. This behaviour also occurs if you select the options such as ALL, Satellite, Providers, A-Z etc in the left hand menu.
