there are countless people on here who have installed the firmware...CORRECTLY, and have had no problems at all.

Had to hard reset my box to get it working again! Don't know why? This update worked correctly on another box I updated with no problems what so ever so maybe some boxes handle updates differently. Probably due to the fact they are cheap and cheerful....

Just won't change the channel when coming out of standby which isn't good the old one did but was an hour behind ne fix for this ?

EPG Fixed

Skybox have released a new software to fix the problem of the Epg being 1 hour incorrect due to the introduction of British Summertime. Release notes state :



This is the official software release and is for the F3/5S only and can also be downloaded from the official site.

Guys can anyone confirm whether this file will work in an Openbox V5S? Ive been told its a rebranded Skybox F5S but just wanted some confirmation before i try. Thanks

Yes, you are correct. Others have used it with no problems. The only difference you will notice is the start up logo will change to " Skybox ".

As stated in the thread title, yes it does work on a F3S. With the Boxnation issue, if you are referring to the sound available/ no picture issue which also affected a few other channels, then it's yes again as the firmware will fix that issue.

Just giving this thread a heads up just in case anyone is looking for the latest Official Skybox F3S/F5S software. It's available for download in the first post of this thread as well as numerous other threads. The reason I'm bringing it to attention is for some unknown reason all the 2014 firmwares have been currently removed from the Skybox website. As at the time of this post the latest one on their website is dated 25/10/13. Whether this is a temporary glitch or they've decided to deliberately pull them remains unclear at the present time.

Yea, it does seem strange. Maybe it's just a glitch because they haven't pulled them from the Libertview or Memobox sister sites.

Ok so I've read all the posts here, I've got a latest firmware release from AJ sats site. Am I correct in saying this firmware will sort the invalid programme whilst navigating through channels. New to openbox, dreambox myself so go easy on me

also Thanks for the upload note to people moaning its broke there box before you do a update delete all your channels and factory reset then upgrade :P
