    Skybox f5s No Signal

Hi I'm new here and a complete beginner when it comes to all this talk. But basically I have a f5s box with ??? channels. I have a sky hd box in my sitting room and the f5 when plugged in there works.

But in my room where I originally had a skybox with fta channels on it the f5 will only work if the skybox Is plugged out downstairs.

Basically when two boxes are on I get a no signal sign on my f5 box upstairs. Anyone any info atal?

Is it all channels missing or just the Vertical ones? Do you have a direct feed to your bedroom from the dish?

If it is just the vertical channels and you have a feed from the dish to your bedroom it is normally due to a higher than desired voltage an F5s sends to the LNB for switching polarization. This can easily be fixed by using a diode in line between the lnb and the F5s.

Are you sure all fta channels work? Try more>movies or Pick TV fta channels if they don't work (No Signal/Invalid Program) then your eBay purchase will be fine.

To see if the channel you are tuned to is on a vertical or horizontal transponder, press the info button on the remote. Next to FQ, you will see the transponder frequency & either V or H. e.g. Fox HD = FQ 11856 V.

I had this on all my boxes , just reset to factory defaults with the ABS files , reloaded sat scan channels , & internet & code file , then they work the only prob , I got now is no favorites , but switching between V & h channels is now fine & ok
