Openbox /skybox difference

Hello can some tell me is there a difference between Openbox And Skybox? Is one a clone of the other?

I think nowadays openbox is clone but I could be wrong.

Hello thanks for responding. I have Skybox f5s but i notice on line that the name is changing to openbox.

The manufacturers are rebranding the skybox F5S to the Openbox V5S as the $ly UK are stamping down on the skybox brand.

They are exactly the the box apart from the branding as they use the same components and the same software. The only difference is the branding on the outside of the box.

It could still be original as I've read that skybox are having to change their name in the uk because of potential trademark/copyright issues with sky themselves.

skybox are rebranding to libertview not openbox as far as ive heard,i have one of the libertview f5s boxes and had a skybox f5s before it
they are exactly the same even down to using skybox firware on the libertview box
like others have said though te rebranding is down to legal issues with sky
