f5s box got me head batted

hi there just turned on me f5s box nothing there it loads to 100 can change channel just blank screen on tv so thought might be hd cable changed that same loads up change channel cant see nothing but black screen very strange any help chaps been spot on last few weeks

It's been reported by some members in the past that they may have actually changed one of the screen output formats which has not been compatible to their tv by accidentally pressing the V Format button on the remote. You can try pressing the hard to see light blue bottom V Format button on your remote to see if that is also your problem. Default setting should be set at 1080i_50. Could be worth a try.

As bigade says, it looks like it may be down to the V Format button being pressed. If you have a scart lead, or RCA (phono) composite cables, you can try connecting these to your TV to see if you then get an output. You can then go into the menu > system setup > TV system & try different video resolutions.

If you want to change the video resolution from the V Format button on the remote, then it has to be pressed once & then again within 5 seconds. This will change to the next resolution in the list. If you still get no output, press it twice again. There are around 12 resolutions to choose. Pressing the V Format button once just shows on-screen what the current resolution is set to.

I had the same problem on a F5. It turned out to be a faulty HDMi port on the back of the box. I tried a scart lead and it worked perfectly. Perhaps worth a try.

sound like tv settings (v format) as others say .....should work on a scart lead to reset tv settings then hd will come back
