You don't need a backup file. All officially released firmwares are available on the Skybox.cc website. Just remember to make a backup of all your important files before proceeding.

As a footnote, I doubt very much if updating the firmware would be the cause of you losing your Asian channels unless you put an older firmware version on your box. There was an issue of some Asian channels having no picture but having sound only and this was fixed with the last two software releases. If you're having that specific issue then your firmware is out of date. Otherwise, I would suspect the issue lies with your channel list not being updated properly. Did you delete your old channels first as stated in the channel list How To? If you believe you've done it correctly then the issue could also lie within a topic that the rules forbid us to discuss. Another known issue that could cause missing channels is having both a Skybox and an official receiver connected to your dish at the same time. If this is the case unplug the official receiver from the mains and test to see if the missing channels return on your Skybox. If they do, then search the forum for " No Signal Fix " or consider upgrading the lnb on your dish.

Have another read of my above post as I edited it as you were replying. I would think the answer to your problem lies with my suggestions within that post.

Check the " Information " menu option in your box to see if the Software version is " 3601HD_10_04_2014_0670 ". That will tell you if you have downloaded/installed correctly the latest version. If not then click on link below which has my attachment of the latest version. Remember to back up important files first.

Well you've got the correct software so I'd definitely rule that issue out. Let's check the frequency and signal. Put your box onto the Star Gold channel and while it's on that channel enter the menu settings and navigate to the " Installation " page settings and towards the bottom of the list on that page you will see " TP List ". Enter that setting by clicking OK and number 27 should be highlighted in red with the info: 11261mhz 27500Ks/s H. At the bottom of the screen you will see Signal Intensity and Signal Quality. That info will tell you if you're tuned in to the correct frequency and whether you've got the correct signal strength. If the frequency is correct and the signal is low then it's a good bet the scaffolding is causing the problem. If the frequency info is different then you need to update your channel list.
