    the end is near

Now we have all heard the news, can the skybox team update or make new boxes to counter the newvchanges currently taking place?

From what I can tell, SD channels will be unaffected. HD channels will go however. I presume FTA HD channels will be fine....

Just all payed HD channels will be gone in a few months time. As long as we still get to keep SD its still better than S*y sub. Maybe we will move back to cable again?

I think most boxes will be at an end unless some brainiacs can come up with a fix to sort it otherwise once the HD channels have gone i dont think the sd ones will be safe. i feel sorry for ppl how have paid year long subs and boxes for stupid ?100s i came across this post on another website lets hope its to be . untill all the channels have gone i think it will be tsmedia for me after it all .
in a way i think it wont take long to find a bypass . if im mistaken but how would sly add new software to the old hd boxes and get it to stay if you think about it if its been put there then theres a way it can be altered, any ways heres a post i found

"The new pairing is based on the hardware pairing chip, that is already broken as we all seen on the past 18 months hardware pairing emulation for Conax was released, as well as other systems. There is few studies also published about this hack. The same chip and code is doing this hardware pairing you are talking about as well as the Conax or other CAS.

I was also told that a new box is coming (not linux) from the usual people at the origin of the working "3 months cards" such as K3, Knot2.x, Millenium, Abracadabra, Omnia, Opos, that is emulating all the hardware pairing for the various CAS... all this based on a hacked ST chipset.

So the hardware pairing is broken, it now seems to fall on the hands of the old good "3 months pirate card" german mafia suppliers, but it would probably soon go to Linux boxes as piracy of pirate products is the usual way... (due to very bad quality and full of bugs software, easy to extract / hack, for sure more easily than the original product from CAS)".

Yes they are fine. However, there is no way of knowing how long for as they could follow same route as $ky. Although it's likely to be lot longer than $ky I'd say.
