i've aways used this site for firmware.. 3 or 4 years now since my first s9, plenty of friends have the f3 f5 f5s and never had any problems with the f/w from them yojiatech.com click on downloads at top of page and select your box type.. didnt want to post full link to their website as i wanst too sure if i'd be breaking the rules

Sorry for jumping in but I noticed there is a separate download for the ''new'' v5s I was under the impression you can use f5s firmware for v5s boxes

You can, I have a V5S, I've tried both firmware, the only difference is one has a bootscreen saying Skybox the other says Openbox.

Can anyone tell me how to save c****.c*g files (settings) on the skybox f5s before I update the firmware. In case I lose them during the update. Or do I have to save???
Pulling me hair out unsure to go forward in case I knacker my receiver up. Please help !!!!!!!

Go to settings, Dump by USB then select the CcCam.cfg file

Thanks Andygoss. I'm worried I do this update that I'll brick the receiver. My server says he can't remember how exactly to do the update so I read quite a bit about it and hopefully it will work. Gonna give it a try tomorrow.... fingers crossed !!!!!
