What will happen if I do this?

I have been using my box with an abs file. Someone has sent me a dbs file. If I put this dbs file on in the usual way, will this mess everything up please?

An abs file is the format for firmware. A dbs file is the format for a channel list.

Are you trying to update your firmware or channel list?

If you try to update your firmware or channel list by USB with a file with the wrong extension, then it won't be recognised.

Yep, that's no prob Bruno. But I was just wondering if you could run an abs file over a dbs file?

Hi, like Hadron say is 2 complete different files . You should update the .dbs file with the latest update if the box don't have any issues with the firmware i won't update it because a lot of people do and brick the box. Try update the .dbs ( channel list )
