    Motorised Dish Advice

    Hi All,

im looking into purchasing and installing a motorised dish. I've never used one before so don't know much about them if im been honest. GF has reluctantly let me have one but I doubt she would be happy with a gigantic dish on the house. she will think its the one from only fools and horses.

my question basically is what difference will it make if I get an 80cm dish instead of 100cm. How much difference would it make. Im more interested in Beinsports etc.

    Thanks

cheers guys. they'll never understand, i'm fed up of buying flowers . 80cm and 100cm could be the difference between some dandelions or some roses :/ guess I'll just have to bite the bullet!

Depends on your location really and to be honest a slight drizzle of rain on that size dish would mean losing it altogether, Smallest size i have managed to get it on is a TD88 in the NW England further south and you have a lot better signal margins

Always go with the Biggest one you can get away with at least then you stand a fighting chance of picking up the channels you want to watch

                    hi sam

thanks for replying. do you get any signal at all on 7w? do you reckon I will pick it up with a 1m dish, don't really want to go any bigger.

                    thanks

is bein sports on 7w or 7.3w. is it the 7w that is a problem with a small dish or both.

Be fair warned you wont get a reliable enough signal on 7? west for the Bein Sports channels on a 1m dish especially if using the official Bein STB
