A question that has probably been asked before, a thousand times. I have just purchased a virgin, unadulterated, openbox v5s. Are these files for setting it up straight from the box. As a noob just looking for a little guidance. I was always told if you don't ask you don't get and always be polite, so thank you in advance for any assistance.
PS. Im a noob to this type of thing but am not a technophobe, I have experience in flashing and chipping of all game consoles from the original PS1 to todays consoles.

Any box I've got mate are already loaded with a channel list, firmware up to date. So apart from the obvious which needs to be added, there good to go! No need for any firmware update.

Cheers, the seller says channel list to be sent by email, so i guess I just add via usb.

Miketails, get the list from AJ sats, nice and easy to install. Just go to upgrade by USB, drop down onto image file and move cursor to the right, changes to misc file, go to bottom and hit upgrade, your tpg file will show, hit ok and tick, press yellow, job done
