skybox f5s - help required please

thank you in advance .......... i have 2 skybox f5s boxes both with dual multiroom servers - a cc camline and a mg camd line - both boxes have same latest firmware and also aj's latest list but recently one of the boxes has had a problem showing the universal channel - it is more to so with the site rather than the box - i have confirmed this by switching the boxes around.

i have replaced the ethernet cable and also the use the bt home hub 5 - my internet connection runs at approx 76 mgbs - all other channels are fine - it is just this one channel that keeps showing the scrambled sign.

i have taken the box back to basics and done fresh installs from downloads for .................... and channel lists but still have the problem - all other channels are working fine

can anyone please throw somew advice my way please

    regards

    phil

If you have installed the latest aj’s chann list I would suggest the channel you looking for may be bankrupt out of business, if you would tell us the names of the channels not working we may able to look into.

the box that has the missing channel, have you tried it with no other boxes running around the house and does it still not work?

ok mate that rules out the lnb, some use to go off if 2 boxes are connected at the same time.. have you tried a scan of the tp which the channel is on and still nothing? also if the channel is there and by pressing info a few times it shows no signal, then i have changed the settings on the sat setup from one universl to another and see if signal jumps up.. i cant really be more precise as i dont have a skybox in front of me to look at im afraid.. if u go into sat setup i think it shows the tp number; so change that to the tp missing channel is on, then on the one where u can change setings it says something like universal 9750 - 12500 just press left or right and see if signal jumps up.. after a flick give it a few seconds before trying another,, remeber what setting it is on before you move it tho incase u need to go back to it
If it isn't broke, don't try fixin it..!!!

You have got F5s check you haven’t fitted cable on the first tuner I made this mistake once.

i think i may have found the fault - this may sound completely off the radar but it seems to have sorted things out at the moment - i have changed the position of the ethernet cable in the home hub - i will know for sure tomorrow - but it seems to have sorted the problem

thanks for your advice - it was appreciated

seems to have been a false alarm - i think now it may be something to do with the frequencies as i have seperated the servers putting only one on each box so not overlapping and having same problem still at both sites now - god knows what it is but i assume it is something and nothing as all other channels still working fine
