    Some Help Please lol

New to all this Satellite Malarkey .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .........................

http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...ules-2/#post2: Discussions about cardsharing are not allowed, including, but not limited to, cccam, gbox, mbox, etc

Looking on updating the channel list, which I have managed to do once before, but this time on AJ's site it states that I should update the firmware?
    Backing up before hand?

So firstly, how and what do I back up?
Then regarding firmware, do I update all starting with the oldest or do I need just the latest one?
Update to the newest Channel List?

Pic included of current version F5 Skybox

    Thanks all 8)20140706_133904[1].jpg20140706_133904[1].jpg20140706_133904[1].jpg20140706_133904[1].jpg

put the channel list on and see if you have any problems, ajsat is saying if you experience some channels with noise but no picture then you may need to update your firmware.
if u do update firmware u can select to keep settings, in which case you wont need to back up first, even so i would still back up as it only takes a few seconds.. plug usb into box go to settings and select to dump to usb. select to save ***am files.. then plug it into ur pc and open the file using notepad. it should show the bit u need to install back onto the box should you bugger it up.. if its there then flash away

As stated on AJ's website, the sound but no picture problem only affected F3s & F5s boxes, not your F5.

btw...there have been 4 firmware releases since your firmware, but if the box is working OK then you might as well leave it as it is.
