Running 2 tv's off a skybox F3

Hi guys, just wondering whats the best option to run my upstairs tv off my skybox f3 thats in my living room?

not botherd if they both need to be on same channel at same time, as ill only watch the upstairs tv in bed

any help appreciated

I used to use a pair of Nikkai 5.8GHz video senders which worked well for me. They include an IR sender to allow you to change channel from the receiver end.

2.4GHz types were useless for me, as there was too much interference from other equipment.

im looking for a cheaper option, plus my walls seem to be made of led as my wifi ,phone signal and everything else is poor,
i was thinking maybe a long hdmi cable with a splitter from the box , do you think this would work, also using a little ir extender upstairs, to change channel?

I'm running my F5s through a powered hdmi splitter to 4 tv's throughout house without any issue. 3 of them are 10m cables.

Hey, thanks for your reply, im guessing you have the splitter in the back of the box then a hdmi to each tv from the splitter?

whats a good powerd hdmi splitter?

i dident know they existed ... im on abit of a budget so cheaper the better

I bought mine off eBay for about ?20, just make sure you get one that's auto switching and not one of those crappy ones with the remote. You can get 4 & 8 way ones cheap enough, the big multi input/output matrix switches are big money. Mine has 1 hdmi input & 4 hdmi out.

If i use a hdmi splitter how will i be able to change the channels if the box is downstairs and its split to upstairs

I use a Keene IR Distribution Unit, excellent piece of kit which allows me to have all my gear hidden out of the way and controllable from any room. It involves a lot of running cables, but end result is worth it as there's not one cable in sight in any room.
