EPG enquiry

Hi again peeps,
Wot is the best EPG setting to have mine is on satellite at the moment. But in my other link it was mentioned to update the XMLTV regularly.
Have up dated it but will I need to keep the USB stick in or should I just keep it on satellite
Oh and is it possible to scan the channels without it turning ova to every channel.

That's the problem with the satellite guide, you only get now & next and cannot look without being on the channel, it's crap. You're better off with xmltv guide. I have to update mine about every 4 days, but it works very well, some channel listings only appear after 1am so don't be thinking it's knackered if some are missing. You have to have a usb stick/hdd in at all times to hold xmltv epg info.

Did boot this up with some channels missing thought i had done something wrong hahaha
Will leave it on and see if they come on later
