You never miss TV until you have none!!!! - Help really needed

Hi - Firstly I need to mention I am quite new to this with limited knowledge. Purchased F3 box & gift aprox 6 months ago, last couple of months many of our favourite channels were either constantly scrambled or no signal therefore this week i set out to resolve this by downloading updated channel list. Initially I was going around in circles because i didnt realise that you had to convert the file from a .rar to .dbs but thanks to a member here i overcome that hurdle. Eventually got AJs latest file and converted but still no joy. Then contacted person on Amazon we purchased the box/card from and he directed me so www.pinwheel. Mission accomplished i thought - it all works & went to bed. Today my husband rings me to say we have just a blank screen therefore not actually being there thought Ive had enough of this & bought new subscription via ebay for 17.99. Got home & realise there maybe more to this & new subscription may not solve, e.g. the skybox itself - it is completely unresponsive, when turned on the LED shows L100 but no picture anything. Pressing power on/off etc does nothing hence we have no TV! Help needed either fixing box or do I buy new box (recommendations please) to go with new subscription already purchased or buy new box with subscription. Sorry I realise this is long winded but thought important to give full scenerio. Honest thanks in advance Bernadette

First things first gift/subscription talk is against forum rules.

Right you could try and fix your f3 by following the guides in the red stickies at the top of the forum or it might just be easier to get a cheap f5s off Amazon or eBay then install ajs or cwaites channel list and any other files need to get the system working.

Oh your link to www.pinwheel isn't working , would be interest in what info you got off this website.

Try connecting to tv with scart lead instead of hd lead
the settings might of been changed .

Firstly - really appreciate your help, secondly didnt realise that gift etc was against forum rules, (leaning so much very quickly). Given that I am quite new to all this I think I will go with your advice & purchase a F5s, regarding the pinwheel website (which I had hadn't heard of previously I did manage to navigate from shopping cart to a download are eventually but obviously wouldn't recommend it. Honestly thanks for all your help xx

If it is a display issue as pgreenie1 describes, you could try pressing the 'v format' button on your remote a couple of times and see if that helps, just in case your man knackered your display setting, this doesn't need a scart lead.

thanks for all the help - Not knowing beyond the basics yet I think I am going to go down the route suggested by martin035 & get a new piece of kit F5s - given my recent experience & inexperience/naviavity can anyone suggest a seller
